Stellar Geoscience has supported operators, independents, consultancies and investors with independent, senior-level subsurface evaluation and transaction-focused technical advice across a range of international assets.

Engagements have included new venture and portfolio screening, farm-in and divestment evaluations, technical due diligence, data room preparation and buyer support, as well as independent technical review for boards, management teams and corporate development functions. Work has spanned conventional and unconventional petroleum systems, mature and frontier basins, and emerging geoenergy opportunities.

• Senior subsurface and transaction-focused role with Carlyle Group–backed Discover Exploration Ltd, supporting international portfolios in the North Sea, the Comoros and New Zealand, including new venture screening, portfolio evaluation and exploration management

• Subsurface and technical input supporting acquisition, farm-out, development and divestment activities, including the acquisition of Hansa Hydrocarbons (2018), farm-out of Comoros exploration acreage to Tullow Oil (2018), delivery (non-op) of the N04-A and N04-C gas discoveries (2021/22) and First Gas on the N05-A field (2025), and the subsequent sale of Hansa Hydrocarbons to Tenaz Energy (2025)

• Senior technical advisory and peer-review roles for operators and consultancies, including resource assessment, risking and independent subsurface review to support investment and portfolio decisions

• Technical input to new venture screening and opportunity evaluation across Europe, North Africa and the Middle East, supporting exploration strategy and business development

• Independent subsurface advice supporting asset marketing and opportunity screening across conventional, unconventional and geoenergy projects
